A Home Automation network is a system designed to overcome the physical limits in the relationship between the command and control of appliances, lights, temperature controls, burglar alarms, audio/video equipment, surveillance systems and all that is wired inside and outside of a building. The use of the system, which is no longer univocal and fixed in its design, can always be upgraded even at a later date, in line with the requirements of the end user.

Consumption is kept under control by the system, which also has the capacity – thanks to load control – to handle more heavy-duty systems too, since it manages them directly, thereby avoiding unwanted units ticking up on the energy counter, precluding the need to switch to higher consumption brackets and thus generating further savings at a contractual level with the Electricity Board.
Gas leaks, water leaks or flooding, power failures, black-outs: through direct interfacing with the home automation system, with its specific hazard detectors, the respective alarm signals can be viewed instantly on the touch screen. The burglar alarm is also incorporated in the home automation system and can keep both the outside area and the individual rooms covered. In both cases, numerous systems for communicating with the user can be automatically triggered, from a simple phone call to a text message, email etc.
By using the touch screen, the conventional panel display, a tablet, smartphone or remote control, the user can switch on and off all connected devices, lights, temperature controls, doors, windows, etc. And that’s not all! Various scenarios (relaxation, wellness, parties, etc.) can also be programmed at established times, according to personal requirements, by setting and managing the audio and video system as well.
A new plus point is undoubtedly the customised programming of the system to the user’s requirements, a feature that should not be underestimated since the spread of these systems was hampered in the past by the fact that they were so complicated to use.
